We believe that our success comes from a deep commitment to our clients, where economy and function are just as important to the design as is appearance. In our view, good design arises out of a dialogue with a client, for it is only when the client truly understands what they are getting, and is aware of the choices, that a good result can be achieved. The attitude, together with an extensive knowledge of building systems and construction, assures a high level of quality in all our projects. It also means that every project we produce is unique and no design is like another.
Jenny Johansson Hoffman
Principal Designer, Allied ASID
A Swedish native, Jenny has been around design and art since childhood. At an early age she learned to appreciate the art and architecture Europe is known for. She was lucky enough to grow up in a family whose lifestyle consisted traveling for business and pleasure. She has visited over 30 countries and appreciates the unique brilliance each has to offer. Thailand, however, has found a special place in her heart. She has been visiting Thailand for over 20 years and has grown fond of its people, culture and raw beauty. Her travels to China and Vietnamn over 12 years ago also provided special inspiration because of the fact that the overwhelming outpouring of tourism had not yet been visible.
In Santa Barbara, she founded Koncept1 interior design studio in 2002 after working at the prestigious Warner Group Architects in Montecito where she received a wide range of experience ranging from country clubs and high-end residential projects to the day to day tasks needed to get projects started and finished.
She has a five year education from the Academy of Art College in San Fransisco and from UCLA Extension interior architectural environmental program where she studied under architects such as David Hertz, Michael Hricak, Bruno Bondanelli, and David Antilla.
In Santa Barbara and around the world she consistently finds new trends, sustainable products, and creative ways of living for people with a passion for life.
